Zhangye needs some time before one can appreciate it. We arrived in the rain and only managed to obtain a room in a hotel after the 7^th one. This certainly did not help. But we obtained by pure luck a very good deal in the newest jiudian of town. Tomorrow is the big celebration of the 90^th anniversary of the CCP Chinese Communist Party. For some unknown reason every room was booked and this anniversary seems to be the only reason for the various meio we received everywhere
